grml: espeak or espeak-ng not talking

Hi all, I recently wanted to upgrade to a recent version of grml. unfortunately i have figured out that espeak or espeak-ng which is the successor of espeak doesn't speak. could someone check that? there seems to be an issue with sound. the only screenreader that works at the moment is brltty. speakup/espeakup doesn't because espeak has nothing to output. Dear Sir, I had download GRML liveCD from your website, and mount it to USB disk, and I have a question here how can I change the LAN setting default to static IP, because It will reset to default after reboot I just want set DHCP to static IP, can you please advise how to change this setting, thank you.
