Hi Since more and more people are using pen drives, I think in such case it is desirable to disable updating inode access time for each access to limit the wear and tear. Assistance with accessibily backing up my grml installation.

Hi, I need some assistance from anyone who can provide it. I wish to tar, my entire root file system, and make the tar file create on another box via ssh. I am booted into the Live-disk, ATM. Any suggestions? If you have any, let me know. My idea was: to mount the root file system under something like: /mnt/grmlSystem. Then: tar czpf - /mnt/grmlSystem | ssh box@remotebox cat > Grml.tar.gz Would this work? If I have made an syntax error, please correct it, or something. Hi all, Apparently my so called failior to hibernate and resume from XFS turned out to be the fact that my Computer was trying to boot off my USB flash drive. LOL Regards, --Keith.

Md arrays error

Hi, I always get a boot message like this: ,---- | Assembling MD arrays failed (no arrays found) `---- I don't know how to deal with it. I was trying to figure out what it can be, so I came over mdassemble and raid. Maybe anyone can help me to get rid of it - or give me a hint where I can further information on it. harry
