hi alle!

Die meisten haben wahrscheinlich das eine oder andere über KPNQWest und
deren Pleite gehoert. Da mur.at das ACOnet - das Universitaetsnetz
Oesterreichs - als backbone Provider verwendet und ACOnet erst vor kurzem
zu KPNQWest wechselte, koennte dieser Umstand auch mur.at betroffen haben.

Daher koennte es auch Dich interessieren, dass ich soeben informiert
wurde, dass ACOnet einen Vertrag mit SPRINT unterzeichnet hat, um stabile
Netzwerkperformance zu bieten, auch wenn KPNQWest seine Services einstellt
(wobei zur Zeit niemand weiss, wann das der Fall sein wird).

Das heisst, wir bleiben online :) Sollte Dir in den naechsten Wochen
trotzdem irgendetwas eigenartiges begegnen - und ich meine dabei
internationale Routingprobleme und nicht allgemeine Schwierigkeiten mit
dem Computer - dann verstaendige bitte noc at mur.at damit wir die Fehler
suchen koennen.

hi all!

Most of you will probably have heard one or the other thing about KPNQWest
going bankrupt. Since mur.at is using ACOnet - the Austrian Universities
Network - as backbone Povider and ACOnet just migrated to KPNQWest lately
this could have affected our connectivity as well.

So you might be interested in the fact that I was just informed about a
contract that ACOnet signed with SPRINT to provide reliable network
performance once KPNQWest shut down theirs services (I guess no one knows
when this will happen at the moment).

This means that we will stay online :) Should you notice any strange
behaviour during the next weeks - and I am ONLY talking about
international routing troubles here, not just ordinary computer troubles -
please inform noc at mur.at so we can trace the errors.
