 MIR bestehen in ihrem rider auf lautstärke. Das Wakuum wird am
Mittwoch also wieder gut gefüllt sein.
 Für die konzerte im Stockwerk am Freitag fühle ich mich, nach den
erfahrungen der letzten monate, allerdings zu folgender wette bewegt:
Ich wette, dass die publikumszahl einstellig sein wird. Wer dagegen
wettet und das in einem email an interpenetration at nocords.net
(mailto:interpenetration at nocords.net) kundtut, kann eine freikarte
für den
abend gewinnen. Schreibt also einfach mit dem betreff "Ich
wette dagegen" und sobald ich zehn stricherl gemacht habe, könnt ihr
gratis rein. Solltet ihr verlieren, erwarte ich mir, dass ihr
zumindest ein getränk im Stockwerk trinkt. Deal?

 MIR
 
 «MIR are Daniel Buess on drums, Papiro on strings and Michael Zaugg
on Synths. No vocals needed, since all musicians use a large variety
of electronic instruments along with more conventional rock equipment.
Their shows are forceful and physical. If we were still in the 80s or
90s, we could place MIR somewhere close to the Avantgarde section:
Japan-Noise, New York
 No Wave, British combat easy-listening à la Coil, the
Arizona-madness of Sun City Girls or atonal German Sound-Brainfuck.
This might all sound terribly heady and complex, but if anything it is
refreshingly simple and in-your-face. Onstage, MIR pick out the single
listener and hypnotize him with metallic sound-lassos, until the
audience find themselves
swirling in blissful ecstasy – or running
for the emergency exit.
 The refreshing thing about MIR is their un-intellectual handling of
intellectually loaded music. Their dark soundscapes conjure up
cinematic visions in the vein of early Andrey Tarkowski or
 David Lynch’s «Eraserhead». It is also beautiful to see how the
band occasionally enjoy drifting nto punk territory.
 MIR is probably the most compact, most positive and loudest
Experimental Rock Music in a long while, in any case since the
break-up of 16-17. By the way, Alex Buess from 16-17 (no relation to
 Daniel Buess) has recorded and produced MIR’s latest, untitled
record.»

 Andreas Trobollowitsch
 
 Andreas Trobollowitsch studierte Musikwissenschaft und zeitweise Jazz
in Wien und Paris. Projekte und Arbeiten im Bereich der
elektroakustischen Improvisation (Tapes, präparierte
Saiteninstrumente, No-Input-Mixer, Objekte) und der elektroakustischen
Komposition. Musik für Theater, Filme und Radiofeatures.
 Seit 2007 arbeitet er im Duo nörz mit Johannes Tröndle zusammen.
 
 Derzeitiger Schwerpunkt: Klanginstallationen und konzeptuelle
Kompositionen. CD/DVD – Veröffentlichungen auf schraum (Berlin),
Monotype Records (Warschau) und Filmarchiv-Austria (Wien). Konzerte in
Europa, Südamerika und Asien.
 
 
 Matija Schellander
 
 Schellanders current double bass solo project is a three-part
performance that incorporates space, movement, light and sound.
Conceptual on one hand, it never dismisses the non-rational,
 sensual communicational possibility intrinsic in music.
 
 Matija Schellander is an Austrian composer and
improvising musician
currently based in Vienna, mostly using double bass, modular
synthesizer, and speakers: processing input, moving air output.
 In 2012 his solo CD “sum šum” with 7 electroacoustic composition
will be released by the small publishing office The Manual (Seoul).
 Schellander regularly works with Rdeča Raketa(electracoustic duo
with Maja Osojnik) and in duos with Enrico Malatesta(percussion /
double bass) and Franz Hautzinger(quartertone trumpet /
 modular synthesizer) as well as the the ensemble Low Frequency
Orchestra(Castello/Grill/Osojnik/Schellander).
 Other collaborations include Okkyung Lee, Burkhard Stangl, Anja
Utler, Isabelle Duthoit, Michael Thieke, Hannes Lingens, Klaus Filip,
Choi Joonyong, Metalycée, Andrea Neumann, Katharina Klement, Chris
Heenan, Olaf Hochherz, Lukas König, Daniel Riegler, Dieb13, Kazuhisa
Uchihashi, Ryu Hankil, Christof Kurzmann, Jin Sangtae, Jorge
