Sehr geehrte Unterstützer_innen und liebe Freund_innen der Galerie
para_SITE,
Wir laden recht herzlich zur Einweihung der interaktiven Installation
"BED" des international renommierten Belgischen Künstlers Johan
Grimonprez am kommenden Freitag, 24. September 2011 um 18.30 Uhr in
die Galerie para_SITE ein.
Die Installation oszilliert zwischen Privatem und Öffentlichkeit,
indem die Galerie in den Außenraum verlängert wird und die
Besucher_innen, durch ihre Interaktion ein Überraschungsmoment
erwartet, welcher sie aus ihrem Alltag in eine poetische
Märchenszenerie entführt.

Am 7. Oktober 2011 um 20.00 Uhr gibt es im Rahmen der Ausstellung ein
Screening des Films Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y und am 22. Oktober um 19.00 Uhr
gibt es ein Künstlergespräch mit Johan Grimonprez und mir selbst, mit
anschließendem Filmscreening von "Double Take".
Den beiden Screenings geht die exklusive Vorstellung des neuen Feature
Films von "I MAY HAVE LOST FOREVER MY UMBRELLA" voran, einem Film, an
dem der Künstler gerade arbeitet.
Johan Grimonprez hat durch seinen Film "Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y" erstmals
internationale Aufmerksamkeit erlangt und eröffnet am 15. Oktober 2011
eine große Personale im bekannten belgischen Ausstellungshaus S.M.A.K.
in Ghent, wofür ein neuer Film mit dem Titel "It's a poor sort of
Memory that only works backwards" eingeweiht wird.

Dear supporters and friends of the para_SITE Gallery,
We cordially invite to the inauguration of the interactive
installation "BED" by internationally renowned Belgium artist Johan
Grimonprez on 24th September 2011 at 6.30 p.m. at para_SITE Gallery.
The installation oscillates between public and private, prolonging the
installation to the space outside the gallery. By interaction visitors
are drawn from their day-to-day routine into a poetic fairytale-like
scenery with a surprise moment to be expected.

In the framework of the exhibition a film screening of "Dial H-I-S-T-
O-R-Y" will take place on 7th of October 2011 at 8.00 p.m.
On 22nd October 2011 at 7.00 p.m. an artist talk with Johan Grimonprez
and myself will take place followed by a film screening of "Double
Take".
Both film screenings will be started by an exclusive preview of the
new feature film of "I MAY HAVE LOST FOREVER MY UMBRELLA" , a film the
artist currently works on.
Johan Grimonprez has reached international recognition through his
film "Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y" and inaugurates a major solo show at
internationally renowned exhibition house S.M.A.K. in Ghent on 15th
October 2011 inaugurating a new film named "It's a poor sort of Memory
that only works backwards".
