Hello

First, i would like to apologise to Johannes for mixing you up with Nicole when
replying to your mail.

to everyone: whats the point of connected?
i would like to ask everyone (myself also), what do you think, what should be
the main thing you want to stres in connected?

to cym: what for to add members?
As understood from talking with you, when you came up with the idea of connected
idea, one of the ground points of it was, that there would be limited number of
people/artists involved. In order for each to be able to talk to everyone. With
bringing whole lot of new people in, this groundpoint (with which i personaly
agree completly) is lost. If we decide to involve the volunteers and the FS
personel in the project, offcourse we have to ask their opinion and also good
for the idea, to invite them to comment it. Untill then, i think its more
practical if we stay in the limits of small number. Bringing whole lot of new
people is bound to make a mess. So my opinion is that if you really think its
needed to invite more people, 1 or 2 is plenty. Also i would like to ask, which
are the reasons.

to cym: about    empty symbol and uselesness of things
Guess this is the spot, where it shows quite clear the difference betwen cym´s
standpoint and mine. I dont care if social meaning of some activity is useless.
But i dont know what to do with activities, that i see personaly as useless.
Then it is useless to spent time on it.

to vita: empty symbol-steretype the same?
i dont think empty symbol and stereotype are the same thing. 
As i see them: Empty symbol is a social institution in which whatever you put
in, it has no, or very little effect on social pattern/public mind. For example;
art, the way it is (autonomous institution), is an empty symbol. TV prime-time
is not an empty symbol. The content of goverment official speech, is an empty
symbol. Its public form/influence is not.

Stereotype can be an empty symbol. Asking »How are you?« everyone you meet, for
example. But not necessarily. To take children, immigrants, women, homosexuals,
poor... as not fully human, is stereotype, but its not an empty symbol.

to vita: about    if we deal with empty symbols then do that criticaly.
i agree! i would just add, that it would be good, if we do that in a way to be
present also to someone beside ourselves. I dont think, the idea to be producer
and the only receiver of information is of much use.

to vita: about sincerity
For me art  IS about sincerity.(Or at least should be.) But i agree this is the
hard way. The norms of social communication dont include much sincerity. Being
sincere is usually seen as being agressive. But beeing an artist, for me, it
means, you have to ignore those social rules at least at your work. So i agree.

to vita: getting personal, no need to agree on everything
i agree with what vita said, i have nothing to add

to vita: about being more rebellious,    about sharpness in thoughts   
The fuck yes!!! Thats what im trying to put forward, through all my connected mails.

to vita: about ac being different place


to vita: about booklet
One general thought: whatever the booklet will be about it should be made for
public (people who come to presentation or/and people who come to ac and fs).
Not for us(the connected group). 
To make a booklet of alternative ways of group functioning, i think, is a great
idea. Maybe we could make that a main theme of connected. What do you think?

to cym: about showing nice places
What special place could i show to you in goricko? I only thought of the part of
forest and fields near ac im use to take the walk through. But i dont really see
what use could this be to anyone but me.

to betina and cym: about bettinas party
Party can also be a creative time. Since its also in graz i guess it goes well
into the connected.


i also wanted to comment three more topics:
to vita: bringing local people to graz
to vita: about shoping
to vita: ask them what they do and what they think we are doing

and answer my own question i put in the beginning,
                                                             but got tired of
writing, so i will leave this for later.




P.S.:
Vita and i just discussed 1. the differences and common points of stereotypes
(st.) and 
                                               empty symbol (e.s.)
                                         2. the ungratitudnes of bringing out a
new theme
1.We agreed that these are not the same notions and i realised that what Vita
wanted to 
   stress is that the common background they (st. and e.m.) have is -the
lazyness of 
                                                                               
                            thoughts and actions
                                                                               
                        -seeking for secure and 
                                                                               
                         unconfrontating way 
                                                                               
                          through life.

2.When someone brings out new topic its hard to put it transparent. But for
others its
    much easier to see the unconsistency
.

Our discussion also made clear the advantage of talking verbally.
May i ask, what are the plans of our meeting in person, beside the eventual
meeting on bettinas party
