SPECIMA

Specima is a nation-wide project funded by ESF (European Social Fund). Its aim
is to help immigrants with higher academic degrees taken outside the EU/EEA
countries in finding ways to acquire the professional qualifications and
competence required for the Finnish labour market.

Specima has arranged special courses for medical doctors, teachers, engineers,
biologists and laboratory specialists as well as for those with degrees in arts
and humanities. In the future courses and training will be designed for
pharmacists and dentists.

Specima started in December 2000 and will continue until September 2006.
