Wir laden herzlich zu /Korpus V: DARKROOM/ einem Konzert ohne Programm, das dazu einlädt zu erkunden, ob wir anders hören, wenn wir nicht wissen, was wir hören, des SCHALLFELD ENSEMBLE mit den Künstler.innen Szilárd Benes, Manuel Alcaraz Clemente und Davide Gagliardi am Mittwoch, den 03.12.2025 ab 20:00 Uhr ein.

*DARKROOM https://www.schallfeldensemble.com/event/darkroom/* Es ist wohl vielen schon einmal passiert: Jemand schaltet das Radio ein, hört ein unbekanntes Musikstück – vielleicht war die Ankündigung schon vorbei, vielleicht fehlt die Zeit, bis zum Ende zuzuhören – und ist sofort gefesselt, ohne jemals zu erfahren, was da eigentlich erklang. Ebenso kommt es häufig vor, dass ein Tipp zum Anhören weitergegeben wird, oder dass man im Programmheft eines Konzerts blättert und sich – noch bevor ein einziger Ton erklingt – eine Vorstellung davon bildet, was gefallen wird und was eher nicht.

Mit Korpus V – /Darkroom/ beendet Schallfeld die Saison 2025 mit einem Hör-Experiment: einem Konzert ohne offengelegtes Programm. Solowerke und Kammermusik, neue und ältere Stücke – oder besser gesagt: neue Musik für alle, die sie noch nicht kennen (oder nicht wiedererkennen).

Khipu ist ein Open-Source-Elektrotextilcomputer, der neben der Codierung des Kosmos die Idee vermittelt, dass das Universum von harmonischen numerischen Proportionen beherrscht wird und dass Himmelskörper durch ihre kreisenden Bewegungen in Umlaufbahnen Schwingungen abgeben. Das Projekt //Khipu//des Kollektivs um die chilenische Künstlerin Constanza Piña Pardo verbindet Technologie und (spekulative) Kosmologie zu einer Neuinterpretation prä-kolumbianischer Informationssysteme. Ausgangspunkt ist das andine /Khipu/, ein komplexes Knotensystem, mit dem sich Zahlen, Erzählungen und Rituale in Fäden aus Baumwolle, Lama- oder Alpakawolle codieren ließen. /Khipu//s/waren Speicher, Rechenwerk und Orakel zugleich – frühe Datenstrukturen, die das Wissen der indigenen Völker der Anden mit der Ordnung des Kosmos zu verbinden suchten.

*DARKROOM https://www.schallfeldensemble.com/event/darkroom/ * It has probably happened to many of us: someone turns on the radio, hears an unfamiliar piece of music – perhaps the announcement has already ended, perhaps there is not enough time to listen to the end – and is immediately captivated, without ever finding out what it was. It also often happens that a tip for listening is passed on, or that you leaf through the programme booklet of a concert and – even before a single note is played – form an idea of what you will like and what you will not.

With Korpus V – /Darkroom/, Schallfeld ends the 2025 season with an experiment: a concert without a disclosed programme. Solo works and chamber music, new and older pieces – or rather, new music for those who don’t know it yet (or don’t recognise it).

Khipu is an open-source electro-textile computer that, in addition to encoding the cosmos, conveys the idea that the universe is governed by harmonious numerical proportions and that celestial bodies emit vibrations through their circular movements in orbits.

The Khipu project by the collective around Chilean artist Constanza Piña Pardo combines technology and (speculative) cosmology to reinterpret pre-Columbian information systems. The starting point is the Andean khipu, a complex system of knots used to encode numbers, narratives, and rituals in threads of cotton, llama, or alpaca wool.
