Wir laden Sie herzlich zum Art's Birthday, dem Geburtstag der Kunst, am 17. Jänner ein: Der als Hommage an die Kunst initiierte Aktionstag, der die Präsenz der Kunst im täglichen Leben würdigt, wird inzwischen jährlich zelebriert und findet weltweit Resonanz.
Feiern Sie mit uns im *esc* medien kunst labor den Geburtstag der Kunst mit einer Reihe von Performances, die live übertragen werden, auf Radio Helsinki in Graz 92.6 FM und europaweit über das Satellitennetzwerk der European Broadcasting Union EBU Ars Acustica Group von 20:00 - 23:00 Uhr (https://helsinki.at/livestream).

* Der////Art’s Birthday//(frz. anniversaire de l’art) ist der im Jahr 1963 von dem französischen Fluxus-Künstler Robert Filliou (1926–1987) willkürlich auf den Tag seiner eigenen Geburt, den 17. Jänner und auf 1.000.000 Jahre vor 1963 festgelegte Geburtstag der Kunst.

/Khipu/ ist ein Open-Source-Elektrotextilcomputer, der neben der Codierung des Kosmos die Idee vermittelt, dass das Universum von harmonischen numerischen Proportionen beherrscht wird und dass Himmelskörper durch ihre kreisenden Bewegungen in Umlaufbahnen Schwingungen abgeben. 180 handgesponnene Seile aus Kupferdraht und Alpakawolle bilden eine große Antenne, die auf die elektromagnetischen Schwingungen ihrer Umgebung reagiert. /Khipu//s/waren Speicher, Rechenwerk und Orakel zugleich – frühe Datenstrukturen, die das Wissen der indigenen Völker der Anden mit der Ordnung des Kosmos zu verbinden suchten.
*Constanza Piña Pardo **(CHL)* ist Klangkünstlerin, deren Arbeit auf elektronischen Experimenten, Open-Source-Technologien, DIY-Philosophie und technofeministischen sozialen Praktiken basiert. *Melissa Aguilar (CRI) *ist Grafikdesignerin und bildende Künstlerin undwidmet sich Kunst und Technologie, neuen Medien, Museen, Kulturmanagement, Transformationsfestivals und Kunsterziehung.

/Khipu/is an open-source electrotextile computer that, in addition to encoding the cosmos, conveys the idea that the universe is governed by harmonious numerical proportions and that celestial bodies emit vibrations through their circular movements in orbits. 180 hand-spun ropes made of copper wire and alpaca wool form a large antenna that reacts to the electromagnetic vibrations of its surroundings. Khipus were storage devices, computing devices, and oracles all at once—early data structures that sought to connect the knowledge of the indigenous peoples of the Andes with the order of the cosmos.
*Constanza Piña Pardo (CHL) *is a sound artist whose work is based on electronic experiments, open-source technologies, DIY philosophy, and technofeminist social practices. *Melissa Aguilar (CRI) *is a graphic designer and visual artist dedicated to art and technology, new media, museums, cultural management, transformation festivals, and art education.
