Die queerfeministische Redaktion auf Radio Helsinki hat 13 Jahre lang Sendungen gestaltet und sich im letzten Jahr in den wohlverdienten Ruhestand verabschiedet - und nun wollen wir sie gebührend feiern!

What mobilises you?
What displaces you?
What do you mourn for?
What do you yearn for?

In the project „Mobilise/Demobilise“ people from different countries all over the world were asked for their individual answers to these questions. Embedded in their weave of voices, performers Helen Varley Jamieson and Eva Ursprung try to catch words of the projected transcriptions with mirrors and contribute new sounds evoked by their own movements. How much motion will it take to turn euphony to noise?

We live in a cacophony of crises - climate change, migration, attacks on democracy, inequality and war - and need to urgently mobilise in response. Yet we must also urgently demobilise in order to reduce CO2 emissions, and to seek peace, to de-escalate conflict. Concurrently, mobile technologies play a significant role in the orchestra of mobilisation - but for the better or worse? This is a clamorous response to the maze of contradictions and challenges that we live in.

3 Künstlerinnen – 3 Generationen – mit kulturellen Erfahrungen aus 3 sehr unterschiedlichen Ländern treffen rund ein Jahr nach ihrer Immigration nach Österreich aufeinander und lassen sich aufeinander ein, um in einem 2 Monate andauernden, offenen Prozess gemeinsam eine Ausstellung zu entwickeln.
