Was anderen Schrott wäre, ist dem Tonkünstler und Musiker Chris Janka Bauteil und Material für abenteuerliche Geräusch- sowie Sound-Maschinen. Dem dokumentarischen Kino blieb Christlieb seither treu, balanciert dabei gerne entlang der Schwelle zu einer experimentellen Bildsprache und formalen Herangehensweise.
