generierte Bilder definiert, die sowas wie die Haut des Digitalen atmen
und gleichzeitig opulent ausstellen. <em class="">Answering the Sun</em> nennt
sich seine jüngste und bis dato radikalste Arbeit, die klassische
optische und akustische Wahrnehmungsparameter außer Kraft setzt und eine
intensive körperliche Erfahrung – eine Art Rauschzustand für Aug und
Ohr – produziert. Schon der Titel referiert auf den aus der Kindheit
bekannten halluzinatorischen Effekt, der das „in die Sonne schauen“
begleitete, die Op Art oder die psychodelische Medienkunst der 1960er
Jahre wären weitere historische Bezugsfelder. Kohlberger arbeitet aber
nicht nur für das Dispositiv des Kinos, seine Arbeiten inkludieren Apps,
Visuals, Installationen, Live Performances, DJ-ing; – neben seiner
charakteristischen abstrakten Bildarbeit zeichnet er meist auch für den
Sound selbst verantwortlich. Vor der Präsentation des Films wird
Kohlberger Einblick in seine unterschiedlichen Tätigkeitsfelder und

Diese
Vorgabe könnte als Leitlinie im Werk von Laura Huertas Millán gelesen
werden. Die gebürtige Kolumbianerin studierte am Studio Le Fresnoy und
an der École des Beaux Arts in Paris, bevor sie von 2014 bis 2017 an dem
von Lucien Castaing- Taylor gegründeten Harvard Sensory Ethnography Lab
teilnahm, dessen Fokus auf nicht-diskursiven Formen für experimentelle
Ethnografie liegt. „Ethnographic Fiction“ ist der Begriff den Huertas
Millán für ihre Arbeitspraxis wählt und der Exotismus, Ethnografie und
Anthropologie in eine dynamische nicht ruhende Wechselbeziehung stellt.
Ihre Filme lassen sich als vielgestaltige Herausforderungen lesen,
herkömmliche Betrachtungsmuster zu hinterfragen bzw. neu zu justieren.
