Siegfried Fruhauf seinen bislang letzten fertiggestellten Film <i class="">THORAX</i>. Und
tatsächlich tritt uns aus der Leinwand ein sich aus Lichtblitzen und –schneisen
herausschälender Diamant entgegen, zieht uns zugleich der Sog eines schwarzes
Lochs in einen tief hinter der Leinwand gedachten Hohlraum, aus dem sich zuletzt
ein Halluzinationen hervorrufendes Kaleidoskop entfaltet.</span></div><div class=""><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14px;" class=""><o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">In </span><i style="font-size: 14px;" class="">THORAX</i><span style="font-size: 14px;" class=""> setzt Fruhauf fort, womit er sich
in seiner künstlerischen Arbeit stets und in unterschiedlichen Formen
auseinandersetzt: dem Kino als physischen Erfahrungsraum, dem Bild als
Schnittstelle von Wahrnehmung und Illusion, dem Verhältnis von analogen und
digitalen Bilderwelten und Ästhetiken und der puren Lust und Freude am Material
und seinen Schichtungen.<o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">„Ich gehe eigentlich
wie ein Schnapsbrenner vor. Ich versuche, filmische Essenzen zu destillieren,
möglichst hohe Konzentrationen zu erzeugen“, beschreibt Siegfried Fruhauf seine
Arbeitsweise. <o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">Der 1976 im
oberösterreichischen Heiligenberg geborene Filmemacher gehört zu den auf
internationalen Filmfestivals gefragtesten Künstlern des Landes, seine Filme
feierten in der Vergangenheit u.a. in Cannes, Venedig, Berlin oder Rotterdam
ihre Premieren, Fruhauf erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen für sein Werk,
zuletzt den Österreichischen Kunstpreis für Film. <o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">Das Österreichische Filmmuseum widmet
Siegfried Fruhauf in Kooperation mit sixpackfilm in drei – im Sinne des
Destillateurs – „berauschenden“
Programmen eine umfassende Werkschau, bei der neben preisgekrönten Werken auch
etliche Material-Studien und Miniaturen erstmals das Licht der Kino-Leinwand erblicken
werden. </span></p><div class=""><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">Als Prolog der Personale zeigen Student*innen aus Siegfried Fruhaufs <i class="">Experimentalfilmlabor der Kunstuniversität Linz</i>
eine Auswahl ihrer Arbeiten, die sich performativ mit dem Kino als
