August 2019, 14:00</strong></a></span></em></span><br class=""><br class=""><strong class=""><span class="">Mit ihrer Mehrkanal-Installation </span><em class="">JOYFUL JOYCE</em><span class=""> wird Ruth Beckermann erstmals Teil der Salzburger Festspiele.</span></strong><br class=""><br class=""><em class="">„Wir haben versucht, das Joyce’sche Gewitter athmosphärisch einzufangen.“</em>, erläutert Ruth Beckermann. Bewegte Bilder und eine Toncollage beziehen sich auf Joyce’ Angst vor Gewitter, die er unter anderem durch die Erfindung von zehn Donnerwörtern zu bannen versuchte, zeigt jedoch vor allem, wie Joyce die literarischen und moralischen Konventionen seiner Zeit sprengte.<br class=""><br class="">Joyce bedeutet vor allem Befreiung, Freiheit. Die Mehrkanal-Installation versucht daher nicht, ein Narrativ aus seinem Werk zu schälen, sondern einen athmosphärischen Eindruck desselben zu geben.<br class="">Joyce und speziell "Ulysses" wurde zum Mythos, weil kaum jemand das Buch wirklich gelesen hat.<br class=""><br class=""><em class="">"Ich kann empfehlen, „Ulysses“ nicht zu lesen, sondern zu hören.
