Das Labor ist ein Arbeitsplatz, in dem verschiedene Experimente, Messungen, Prüfungen, Prozesse, Kalibrierungen usw. durchgeführt werden.<br class="">Ich beschäftige mich seit geraumer Zeit mit dem Thema Mensch, seinem Körper und seinen jeweiligen Zuständen. In meinem vielleicht frankensteinisch anmutenden Labor gelingt, wie im wirklichen Leben, nicht immer alles. Dennoch wird fleißig weiter experimentiert, immer auf der Suche nach neuen hybriden Lebensformen und Möglichkeiten, Körper in fiktiven, aber immerhin denkbaren Formen und Umständen darzustellen. Der schöpferische Akt ist Antriebskraft.</font></div><div dir="auto" class="" style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><font color="#434343" class=""><br class=""></font></div><div dir="auto" class="" style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;"><font class="" color="#434343"><img apple-inline="yes" id="D1EE3C8F-E205-4FEF-AEB3-39009AD2201E" class="" src="cid:EA0C4FCD-EE97-4B2E-97A5-CFE924CB5BDC"><br class=""><br class=""><b class="" style="font-size: 14px;">Vintage Dystopia</b><br class="">In der Annahme, Gesellschaften könnten sich sukzessive vor allem sozialer Kontrolle ausgesetzt sehen, handelt die Reihe Vintage Dystopia von Versuchen, nach denen sich Individuen solchen Tendenzen entziehen beziehungsweise diesen opponieren. Mit rudimentären Mitteln – Latexmasken und hautähnliche Schleier – verbergen sie sich etwa vor bildgebenden Kontrollsystemen, über externe Organe und Versorgungsmittel werden Körperfunktionen aufrecht erhalten, wenn nicht optimiert. Die hybridisierten, anonymisierten und teils miteinander verbundenen Körper werden in der Folge in entsprechende Umgebungen versetzt, Räume, die nun gleichermaßen als Habitat gegenüber der kontrollierten Gesellschaft erscheinen.<br class="">Wollte man den Thesen der Psychoanalytikerin Julia Kristeva folgen, wäre angesichts Vintage Dystopia zudem an eine Darstellung der Verkörperung des Abjekten zu denken, dem Horror nämlich, der sich entwickelt, wenn in einem weit gefasste Sinn Macht durch Interventionen der Machtlosen gestört wird. Auch wenn das Thema Corona-Pandemie derzeit allgegenwärtig ist, dürfen wir Schutzsuchende, Asylfragen und Menschenrechte nicht aus dem Blick verlieren. Zu groß ist die Not auf griechischen Inseln, zu groß auch die zusätzliche Gefahr, wenn das Virus dort nahezu ungehindert wütete…<br class=""><br class="">Das zehnköpfige Kamerateam um Trenczak hat im Lauf von mehr als vier Jahren rund 400 Stunden Videos gedreht – in Graz, in der Südsteiermark, in Wien, in Slowenien, in Kroatien, in Serbien, in Italien, in Griechenland und in Deutschland. Und jüngst wurde mit der Postproduktion begonnen, für die allerdings noch finanzielle Mittel benötigt werden: für den Filmschnitt und die Tonbearbeitung, für Soundcollagen und die Mischung, für die Farbkorrektur und die Dramaturgie.
