Hello;

I am GX Jupitter-Larsen, and I wanted to take this opportunity to 
introduce you to my work in hopes that it might not be too late to 
somehow be involved in your wonderful space project.

My current sound / performance art piece in entitled "Loud Luggage / 
Booming Baggage". In this piece, I perform with amplified suitcases. An

This piece was also performed in conjunction with the opening for Dirk 
Bell's light-installation at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in 
Gateshead, and Sadie Coles HQ in London this year (see attachment) .

But who am I you ask? Why should you back my work? In the late 1970’s I 
was done with the Punk scene. I was essentially homeless. So over time I 
orchestrated an international support network that would allow me to 
travel to do my art. This network, which I called The Haters was part 
noise crew, conceptual performance troupe, and fraternity of the absurd.

Back in New York in 1979, confusion for me meant the kind of noise I was 
looking for wouldn’t be the audible kind. What I was looking for was a 
sociological transmission. A social distortion instead of sonic feedback 
would be my personal post-punk mandate. For twenty-plus years I 
travelled the world several times over, living as a nomad, doing my art.

During the years I lived in San Francisco, I was the sound designer for 
Mark Pauline's Survival Research Labs.

Now, based in Hollywood, I remain active in sound art. This year I 
produced a 5 episode series for the Austrian national radio service, the 
ORF. In this series, entitled "Personal Radio: A Los Angeles perspective 
on radio art" I invited LA artists to help define just what the medium 
of radio means to them.
