High!

"new" computer for broadcast studio is nearly ready,
still i would like some feedback from you - users, programmakers.

800Mhz running os : debian linux;
Display Manager : KDE;
sound player : xmms;
browser : mozilla, konquerror;
IRC chat client : bitchx
sound : Pure Data with latest zexy, iemlibs .....
.....
if you are missing something, dont be ashamed to drop a line.

there is a partition with basic directory [8GB] for temporary files :
/sendung
you can access it also from (default user dir) /home/sendung/sendung
which is sym link to /sendung
confusing ? no. just open HOME (file browser)from desktop and put
everything in sendung and it will be fine.
it is just public temporary place to store your data. If you need own
private, ask administrator to make you your own login.

there is no jingleplayer yet, at least i did not find any nice on net,
so i started to develop one :
http://ice.mur.at/jingle/screenshot-jignle.png
with very simple features :
play jingle by pressing assigned key
play jingle on mouse click
interrupt jingle by key with fade out effect
interrupt jingle with another jingle
reload jingles for each week day

but it will take some time to finish for sure,
any help welcome, i am using C++ with SDL_mixer.

btw... i think free radio deserves free tools --- read : open
source operating system, free players not burdened by copyrights.
i propose to install studio2 next to the old veteran w95 and for some time
use both, and when people get used to linux, celebrate happy recycling of
old maschine.

great greetings
