liebes mur.at-mitglied!

diese mitteilung betrifft all jene,
die via T-MOBILE DATENKARTEN (zb web'n'walk) online sind!

vermehrt melden sich benutzerinnen,
dass sie probleme mit dem verschicken von emails
ueber smtp.mur.at, sowie ftp-sessions haben.

dieses problem wird von t-mobile verursacht,
da sie rechnern waehrend einer sitzung unterschiedliche
ip-adressen zuweisen.

t-mobile wurde von uns bereits kontaktiert.
bis jetzt erfolgte noch keine rueckmeldung,
und wir glauben auch nicht, dass sie sich
in naher zukunft kooperativer zeigen werden.

das problem sollte mit folgenden aenderungen beseitigt sein:

SMTP
statt smtp.mur.at verwendest du den smtp.t-email.at.
dazu muessen keine speziellen einstellungen gemacht
werden, benutzer und kennwort leer lassen.

FTP
statt ftp verwendest du sftp,
einstellungen dazu, siehe: http://mur.at/support/ssh/ssh/

und beschwere dich bei t-mobile, verlange
von ihnen 1 zugewiesene ip-adresse waehrend
einer online-session.

this message concerns people using a T-MOBILE DATACARD
(eg web'n'walk) to go online!

more and more frequently users complain about problems sending
email via smpt.mur.at, as well as getting an ftp-session to run.

this problem is caused by t-mobile. they assign different
ip-addresses to the same host during one session.

we already contacted them, by now - no response. it seems
unlikely that they will cooperate.

with the following changes you can work around that problem:

SMTP
instead of smtp.mur.at use smtp.t-email.at.
no further special settings, and leave user/password empty.

FTP
to make filetransfer work you should use sftp,
for settings/info visit: http://mur.at/support/ssh/ssh/
(most of the programs can handle both.)

and you should complain to t-mobile!
demand 1 (one) allocated ip-address within one online-session.
