die umstellung von mailingliste ([fox-]users at mur.at) auf RSS zur
benachrichtigung der werten user und Innen war kein grosser erfolg.

naja... wir wollen da aber nicht so dings sein und haben ein neues
modell ausgedacht, das aus RSS _plus_ mailingliste besteht. jede
wichtige mitteilung des NOC wird ab sofort ueber beide kanaele gehen
(RSS ins 21. und mail zurueck ins 20. jhdt ;) und ihr sucht euch aus,
was euch lieber ist.

einzige aenderung fuer euch: der name der liste hat sich geaendert und
lautet jetzt, treffender als bisher, noc-announce at mur.at.

nach wie vor garantieren wir natuerlich voellige spam- und
viren-freiheit der mails, die ueber diese liste gehn (nur das noc darf
posten), und nicht mehr als eine handvoll mails pro jahr mit
user-relevanten informationen (ankuendigung von stoerungen / ausfaellen
wegen wartungsarbeiten, benachrichtigung ueber noetige
konfigurations-aenderungen zur nutzung von mur.at diensten etc.).

our replacing of the [fox-]users at mur.at list in favour of an RSS feed
was not such a great success...

priding ourselves in being considerate and flexible, we have thought up
a new model, comprised of RSS _plus_ mailinglist. all important messages
from the NOC to you will henceforth travel both channels, for you to
select your favorite means of notification.

the only change involved: the name of the list has been changed to the
more appropriate noc-announce at mur.at.

also unchanged is our assurance that mail coming through the list will
be 100% spam- and virus-free and rare (only a handful messages per year
with relevant and important announcements concerning technical and
administrative matters).
