Stop Motion –  a dancer as filmmaker refrains from superfluous movement in a villa in Brittany, giving way to an individual as well as social state described by the French philosopher Paul Virilio as "polar inertia". Frame by frame by frame, Paul Wenninger makes the rounds standing still, in an initially completely empty salon, with his back perpetually turned to the walls – and above all, to the windows: A stormy time seems to fly by while the relationship between outside and inside gets shaken up. A dominating woman directs several men who are renovating a villa in a small Hungarian town. It is by means of the precisely sequential movements enacted by this leading actress in the film's local unit that unfolds a possible narrative rooted in its formal nature. 
Josef Dabernig has once again succeeded in creating a very precisely rhythmical film that inimitably interweaves image and sound to an extent that clarifies the absurdity of human endeavor with quiet humor, and entirely without words. (Brigitta Burger-Utzer)

Anna Spanlang delivers the images: innumerable video snippets of auto-masculinity from the pool of our collective consciousness – the Pope, Fred Flintstone, David Hasselhoff and K.I.T.T., Putin at Formula One, Grand Theft Auto, selfies of car freaks, NASA images, Google street-views, the shoe being thrown at George W. 45 miles long, 20 miles wide, and, at its highest level, 76 feet deep in the sink‘s center Salton Sea was the largest inland lake in California. The U.S. Navy started using the Salton Sea in 1939 as a site for evaluating the performance of seaplanes; in 1942, they opened the wartime Salton Sea Test Base on the southwest shore. In late 1944, the 509th Composite Squadron from Wendover Army Air Field began dropping the first out of over 150 test atomic bombs into the Salton Sea. (voice over/ excerpt)
