We are very happy to announce that 

Life on the Horn
Somalia/AT/DE 2020, 25 min 
by Mo Harawe

will celebrate its world premiere at the For the Future of Films Competition in Locarno.



For decades, toxic waste has been illegally deposited on the coast of Somalia. The tsunami earthquake in 2004 damaged the poisoned containers, which led to the spread of diseases. 
Many local people had to leave their villages, but some stayed and lived with the aftermath (production note).

Screening dates:
Friday August 7, 2020 - 21:30 - PalaCinema 1 
Saturday August 8, 2020 - 10:00 - PalaVideo
Sunday August 9, 2020 - 15:00 - PalaCinema 1

For the entire duration of Locarno 2020 – For the Future of Films (August 5-15), the international Pardi di domani competition will be available worldwide, free of charge, on a VOD platform. 
The free tickets have to be booked on the Festival website, 24 hours before the online screening, and will be available from the end of July.
