Ralf´s Farben is an experimental portrait of a schizophrenic person living in Lanzarote (Canary Islands), whom I accompanied for over 5 years. The film shows the struggle of his inner life in contrast to 
the deserted volcanic surroundings. (Lukas Marxt)

Lanzarote. Ein experimentelles Porträt eines schizophrenen Mannes. Landschaft und Kino amalgamieren in diesem Film, sind Denk- und Empfindungsräume eines Innen und doch eben auch projizierte Bilder eines Außen. Ein Stillstehen in Bewegung, ein Verharren im Fortlaufen, ein Gemälde in der Zeit. Das Denken des Mannes im Zentrum des Films verläuft nicht entlang gerader Linien, sondern in Kreisen, Spiralen und Möbiusschleifen und bestimmt die filmische Struktur. (L.M.)
