<p style="margin-bottom: 0; text-indent: 0; margin-top: 0;"><em>Nightcleaners</em> (1975) ist ein experimenteller Dokumentarfilm, der von Mitgliedern des Berwick Street Film Collective (Marc Karlin, Mary Kelly, James Scott und Humphry Trevelyan) gedreht wurde und über die Kampagne zur gewerkschaftlichen Organisierung jener Frauen berichtet, die nachts unter schlechten wie unterbezahlten Konditionen in Bürogebäuden putzen. Zwischen 1970 und 1972 wurden Frauen, die nachts Londons Bürogebäude reinigten, von der ehemaligen Reinigungskraft May Hobbs – unterstützt von Mitgliedern der Frauenbefreiungsbewegung – ermutigt, sich gewerkschaftlich zu organisieren und für bessere Löhne und Arbeitsbedingungen zu kämpfen. Die Arbeit des Berwick Street Film Collective konzentrierte sich auf die Raumpflegerinnen im Londoner Shell-Gebäude und fängt die Prekarität und Monotonie dieser körperlich anstrengenden, aber in der Regel unbeachteten Arbeit ein.<em> Nightcleaners</em> (1975) ist eine Hommage an die Solidarität zwischen den Geschlechtern, die Kraft kollektiven Handelns zeigt, wie eine spezifische Kampagne für die gewerkschaftliche Organisierung mit einem Beispiel für feministischen Aktivismus der 1970er-Jahre zusammenwächst.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0; text-indent: 0; margin-top: 0;">Der Vortrag beschäftigt sich mit den gesellschaftlichen Auswirkungen der COVID19-Krise und zeigt neue und verstärkte ungleichheitsstrukturierende Zuschreibungen und Ausgrenzungen auf. Darüber hinaus skizziert er potenzielle Auswirkungen der anhaltenden Arbeitsmarkt- und Wirtschaftskrise auf das Demokratievertrauen in Österreich. Wiesböck stellt sich Themen wie Obdachlosigkeit, aber auch häuslicher Gewalt, und spricht über das von Kindheit anerzogene Männlichkeitsbild, in dem es noch immer nicht erlaubt ist, Angst und Verletzlichkeit zu zeigen. In ihren derzeitigen Untersuchungen beschreibt sie das gesellschaftliche Miteinander und dessen Bedeutung für das psychosoziale Wohlbefinden, sowie der daraus resultierenden Lebensqualität von Menschen. Ziel der interdisziplinären Studie ist es, die vielfältigen Konsequenzen der COVID-19-Pandemie auf das (Er-)Leben von Intimität, Sexualität und Solidarität zu erforschen.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0; text-indent: 0; margin-top: 0;">Anlässlich der Ausstellung <em>Domestic Drama</em> konzipiert Nicole Pruckermayr einen Rundgang zu Orten in Graz mit Wohnzimmercharakter auf den zweiten Blick. Fragen nach Repräsentation, Geschlechtlichkeit aber auch Ökologie und Verwertbarkeit öffentlicher Räume stehen hier im Fokus. Diese Orte sind auch Teil aktueller oder vergangener künstlerischer Auseinandersetzungen.<br><br>
Ausgehend vom Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz (Liebenau) geht es zu Fuß ein Stück Richtung Innere Stadt. Am neu errichteten Platz zu Ehren der Friedensnobelpreisträgerin erzählt Pruckermayr über Konzept und Idee der Platzgestaltung „Friedenstische zeichnen“, das im Zuge des Kulturjahrs Graz 2020 in Kooperation mit dem Kinderbüro, der Volksschule Schönau, sowie den Künstler_innen Edda Strobl, Isa Riedl, Johanna Regger und dem Künstlerduo studio ASYNCHROME hier als öffentliche Intervention realisiert wurde. Über die Raiffeisengasse, den Grünanger, den Puchsteg und den Pomispark führt der Weg zum Messevorplatz und endet im Park neben dem Styria Center. Themen wie Verkehrsführung, Wohnbauten an der Peripherie und urbane Infrastruktur werden ebenso angesprochen, wie Aufenthaltsbereiche von Jugendlichen.</p>
