Grgurevič ist eine der interessantesten slowenischen Künstlerinnen der jüngeren Generation. In ihrer Arbeit erforscht und konstruiert Grgurevič kinetische Systeme und setzt diese zu multidimensionalen Settings zusammen. Im Mittelpunkt des Vortrags stehen einige zentrale Arbeiten der Ausstellung und des letzten Jahrzehnts: Mittels der Beleuchtung formaler sowie inhaltlicher Ebenen und den zugrunde liegenden Überlegungen sucht Kuratorin Ožbolt Grgurevičs Arbeit im Kontext der lokalen und internationalen Kunstszene zu verorten.<br/><br/>Hana Ostan Ožbolt MA (*1979 Ljubljana, lebt in Ljubljana) ist freischaffende Kuratorin und Direktorin der ULAY Foundation, die sich in Ljubljana und Amsterdam befindet. Sie absolvierte ihr Masterstudium im Fach Kunstgeschichte und die Schule für Kurator_innen und Kritiker_innen für zeitgenössische Kunst, „World of Art“ (2014–16). In den letzten Jahren arbeitete sie im Bereich der zeitgenössischen Kunst (in privaten Galerien und dem NGO-Sektor) in Ljubljana und Berlin, unter anderem für Aksioma – Institute for Contemporary Art und Galerija Gregor Podnar. Sie ist außerdem Initiatorin von HOoST, einem Konzept das aufstrebenden Künstler_innen hilft, Ausstellungen außerhalb des institutionellen Rahmens zu organisieren. Grgurevič is one of the most compelling Slovenian artists of the younger generation. In her work she studies and constructs kinetic systems and assembles them into multidimensional settings. While focusing on some central works of the exhibition and from the last decade, discussing the formal and the content level of her work and outlining its central considerations, curator Hana Ostan Ožbolts tries to position Grgurevič’s work in relation to the local and the international art scene.<br/><br/>Hana Ostan Ožbolt MA (*1979 Ljubljana, lives in Ljubljana) is a freelance curator and directress of the ULAY Foundation based between Ljubljana and Amsterdam. She obtained her Master’s degree in Art History from the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana and completed the School for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art, “World of Art” (2014–16). In recent years, she has worked in the field of contemporary art (the private galleries and the NGO sector) in Ljubljana and Berlin, among others, for Aksioma – Institute for Contemporary Art and Galerija Gregor Podnar. She was also the initiator of HOoST, a framework aimed at supporting and promoting emerging artists while organizing their exhibitions outside the institutional frame.
