<p class="MsoNormal">Vor 170 Jahren, im Juli 1848, ereignete sich in dem kleinen amerikanischen Städtchen Seneca Falls eine „Revolution“: Elizabeth Cady Stanton und Susan B. Anthony von der ersten Women´s Rights Convention verabschiedeten die „Declaration of
Sentiments“. Darin forderten sie die Gleichstellung der Frauen mit den Männern. Beide Frauen wurden in weiterer Folge zu Pionierinnen der internationalen Frauenbewegung. Im Vortrag wird die internationale Frauenbewegung unter Berücksichtigung ihrer rechtshistorischen
Dimension beleuchtet und ihre Bedeutung für die Erlangung des Wahlrechts für Frauen aufgezeigt.<o:p></o:p></p>
