Raumfüllend eingenommen wird auch die Apsis im Künstlerhaus: In einem dort gezeigten, von Perry jüngst fertiggestellten 360°-Film können die Betrachterinnen und Betrachter zwischen schwebende und fließende Körperteile unterschiedlicher Geschlechter eintauchen. Das Voiceover reflektiert die Veränderungen des Selbst nach einer traumatischen Erfahrung, die Reaktionen darauf – wie Trauer und Wut – sowie unterschiedliche Bewältigungsstrategien. Satzteile und Wortfetzen aus dem 360°-Film finden sich in Perrys Druckarbeiten, gezeigt im Seitenraum der Ausstellungshalle, wieder. Rage Fluids</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" ><BR><BR>In her first institutional solo exhibition, “Rage Fluids,” the British artist </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-weight: bold;text-decoration:underline;" >Hannah Perry</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" > deals with the treatment of coming to terms with pain and loss, but also with euphoria and ecstasy against the background of current forms of communication as well as the traditional view of gender roles. <BR><BR>Perry has developed a broad course built from new works, specifically produced for this exhibition: In the main exhibition hall, she presents an extensive, hovering installation, the reflecting foil cover of which is set into vibration by the bass from the speakers, turning it thus into a powerful counterpart. The apsis of the Künstlerhaus is also taken in a space-filling manner. Here, Perry’s recently finished 360°-film is shown. It offers the viewer an opportunity to dive into a space filled with hovering and floating parts of the bodies of different genders. The voice-over reflects on the altered states of the self, subsequent to a traumatic experience, the responses—such as sadness and rage—as well as the different coping strategies. Sentence- and word-fragments of the 360°-film can also be found in Perry’s print works, presented in a side room of the exhibition hall. Begleitend zur Ausstellung erscheint die erste umfassende Monografie des Künstlers im Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König, Köln.<BR><BR>In seiner künstlerischen und weit darüber hinaus wirkenden Arbeit hat</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';" > </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" >Jörg Schlick (1951–2005, Graz) seine Heimatstadt wesentlich mit der zeitgenössischen Kunst vertraut gemacht. Schlick setzte sich sowohl mit dem gesellschaftlichen Selbstverständnis als auch mit der politischen Haltung und der geistigen Tradition in Graz auseinander. Jörg Schlick wirkte unter anderem beim Forum Stadtpark sowie beim steirischen herbst mit. 1996 bis 2001 lehrte er als Gastprofessor an der Technischen Universität in Graz, 2003 kam er einem Lehrauftrag der Fachhochschule Joanneum nach. 1997 erhielt er den Würdigungspreis für Bildende Kunst der Stadt Graz und 2005 wurde er mit dem Würdigungspreis des Landes Steiermark ausgezeichnet. After a retrospective on the extensive œuvre of </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-weight: bold;text-decoration:underline;" >Jörg Schlick</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" > in 2015, the study room is dedicated to his biographical life stages and the presentation of the catalogue raisonné created by the Künstlerhaus accompanying the exhibition, the artist's first comprehensive monograph will be published by Buchhandlung Walther König, Cologne.<BR><BR>In his artistic work and far-reaching activities, Jörg Schlick (1951–2005, Graz) strongly encouraged his hometown to engage with contemporary art. Schlick dealt with both the social self-image as well as the political attitude and intellectual traditions in Graz. Jörg Schlick participated actively at the Forum Stadtpark and steirischer herbst, among others. From 1996 to 2001 he was a visiting professor at the Technical University of Graz; in 2003 he taught at the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences. In 1997 he received the Honorary Award for the Visual Arts of the City of Graz, and in 2005 the Honorary Award for the Visual Arts of the County of Styria.
