Yes, but is it performable<BR><BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';" >Zur Finissage der Ausstellungen mit Ashley Hans Scheirl, Maruša Sagadin und Tymek Borowski haben wir Juliana Lindenhofer zu einer Performance und DJ Set eingeladen. Christian Egger stellt an diesem Abend den aktuell fertig gestellten Reader "The only performance that make it all the way ... Yes, but is it performable vor". Eine Hierarchie zwischen Musik und Skulptur in ihrer künstlerischen Praxis interessiert sie wenig. „(…) Während die Künstlerin uns skulpturale Dispositionen als utopische Raumentwürfe hinknallt, Metall um Metall, Weltall um Weltall, geht das halbe Universum der zeitgenössischen Umgebung aus virtuellen und realen Hotspots darin baden nur um pastellbunte Fontänen in der gerade noch zu atmenden Atmosphäre zu verteilen (…) Ja, es ist eine Wohnsituation aber keine.“ (Ausstellungstext „Juliana Lindenhofer: Benz“ von Ruth Weismann) Juliana Lindenhofer (*1987 in Graz, lebt in Wien) ist bildende Künstlerin und DJ.<BR><BR>Der Künstler und Musiker </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-weight: bold;" >Christian Egger</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" > spricht einleitend über die beiden, von ihm am Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien, 2013 bzw. 2016 kuratierten Gruppenausstellungen „</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-weight: bold;" >The only performances that make it all the way …</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" >" und „</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-weight: bold;" >Yes, but is it performable? Beide Ausstellungen einte eine aktivierende dialogische Gegenüberstellung von aktuellen, performativen Praxen und Aufführungen zu zentralen Werken historischer Vorläufer_innen. Innerhalb der jeweiligen Ausstellungsdauer kamen in einem additiven Prozess zwei bis drei Arbeiten hinzu, auch verblieben die Reste der Performances als Objekte im Ausstellungsraum, sodass sich hier der Ausstellungsaufbau selbst dem Publikum als transparent und erfahrbar zeigte. Both exhibitions are united by an activating dialogical confrontation of recent, performative practices and performances dealing with the main works of historical forerunners. Throughout the respective exhibition, two to three works were added, while also parts and objects of the performances remained in the exhibition space, thus the exhibition set-up presented itself as transparent and could be experienced by the audience.
