Ohne das Ziel eine Übersicht mit Hilfe einer lexikalischen, chronologischen oder taxonomischen Methode zu kreieren, zeigt die Ausstellung die Komplexität von Abstraktion, die sich über radikal geometrische Bezüge der 1960er Jahre zu der bis heute sich durchziehenden, trotz aller Brüche und Varianten kohärenten Entwicklung streckt. Zum Abschluss der Ausstellung wird im Rahmen einer Gesprächsrunde mit Autor Dávid Fehér, Kurator Áron Fenyvesi und Künstler László Lakner über das Projekt und eine zusammenfassende Publikation gesprochen.<BR><BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 12px;" >//</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" ><BR><BR>Mit dem Kunstprojekt </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;font-weight: bold;text-decoration:underline;" >Zwischen Skylla und Charybdis</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" > soll das Bewusstsein für den gesellschaftlichen Wert von Kunstdenkmälern geschärft werden und neue Strategien eines verantwortungsvollen Umganges diskutiert werden. Am Beispiel des Hauses Albrecher-Leskoschek von Herbert Eicholzer, das ein seltenes Kunstwerk des Widerstandes von Axl Leskoschek gegen den Nationalsozialismus beherbergt, werden transformative Prozesse in der zeitgenössischen Architektur besprochen. Präsentiert wird das Architektur-<BR>modell des Hauses Albrecher-Leskoschek, das im Rahmen einer Kooperationslehrveranstaltung der Technischen Universität Graz und der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz entstanden ist sowie „Ein Quartett in 12 Familien“, das sich auf das Wandgemälde „Allegorie der Freunde“ von Axl Leskoschek bezieht. Without wanting to create an overview with the aid of lexical, chronological, or taxonomic methods, the exhibition demonstrates the complexities of abstract art, which range from the radical geometrical references of the 1960s to the coherent development that continues to this day, despite all of the interruptions and variations. As a summary of the show a roundtable talk with author Dávid Fehér, curator Áron Fenyvesi and artist László Lakner reflects about the project and a final publication.<BR><BR></SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 12px;" >//</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" ><BR><BR>The art project </SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;font-weight: bold;text-decoration:underline;" >Between Skylla and Charybdis</SPAN><SPAN STYLE= "font-family: '';font-size: 13px;" > aims to heighten awareness of the social relevance of art monuments, and to develop new strategies for responsible handling methods. By example of the Albrecher-Leskoschek House designed by Herbert Eicholzer that harbors a rare, anti-National Socialist artwork by Axl Leskoschek, the discussion will focus on transformative processes in contemporary architecture. Both the architectural model of the Albrecher-Leskoschek House, a collaboration between the Technischen Universität and the Karl-Franzens-Universität, Graz, as well as “Ein Quartett in 12 Familien“ which alludes to Axl Leskoschek’ mural “Allegorie der Freunde” will be presented.
