Liebes Publikum!

Willkommen zurück nach unserer Sommerpause.
Diese Woche bietet sich noch bis Samstag die Gelegenheit,
die aktuelle Ausstellung zu sehen. Gregor Berger aus unserem
Kunstvermittlungsteam führt am letzten Tag, *Samstag 7.9.*, durch die
Ausstellung: *13:30 Englisch*, *15:00 Deutsch*.

Und am kommenden *Donnerstag, 5. September*, nimmt das Werk
von Daniela Brasil um *17:00 Uhr am Karmeliterplatz*in Graz am
*Global Day of Action for the Amazon*teil.

*Global Day of Action for the Amazon*

*Donnerstag, 5. September**
in Graz: **17:00 Uhr, Karmeliterplatz*

Indigenous earth defenders have put out an urgent call for
international solidarity and Amazon Watch, the National Articulation
of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (APIB), and Extinction Rebellion
are mobilizing a Global Day of Action for the Amazon on
September 5th, directed at Brazilian embassies and consulates -
but also the global corporations profiting from Amazon destruction.

Protecting forests and upholding the rights of Indigenous people is one
of the most effective defenses we have against climate breakdown.

This devastation is directly related to President Bolsonaro's
anti-environmental rhetoric, which erroneously frames forest protections
and human rights as impediments to Brazil's economic growth.

Governments and companies around the world are emboldening
Bolsonaro's toxic policies when they enter trade agreements with his
government or invest in agribusiness companies operating in the Amazon.
