 Alen Ilijic

Alen Ilijić is a Serbian new media avant-garde composer and
multimedia artist. He studied composition, orchestration,
electronic
music and sound engineering at the Faculty of
Music in Belgrade, with one of the most well-known
composers, music theorists and modern music scholars in
Eastern Europe, Dr. Srđan Hofman.
Combining a keen sensitivity to the acoustical realities and
possibilities of sound, rigorous and sophisticated compositional
methods, mystical performances, Ilijić is one of the most
innovative musical personalities of today. His latest
composition for piano, voice and body movement ‘Red
Faces’ is a reaction caused by perennial exploration of
deterministic and mindless ideas which ended up with a
defined, carefully selected integral parameters. Since
1996, Ilijić is a member of BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.), an
  American Society of composers.
 Alen Ilijic is Styria-Artist-in-Residence.
