"Von den Höhen und Tiefen der Avantgarde" könnte man die veranstaltung diesen Donnerstag nennen. Kommen doch mit Ingrid Schmoliner und Maja Osojnik zwei der besten und spannendsten Musikerinnen des Landes in die ehrwürdigen hallen des 茶々丸 im Baustelle im Volkshaus im Lager 98 an der Grazer Westküste. Gefolgt von Clemens Marschall, den viele von euch sicher besser unter seinem abenteurernamen Rokko kennen und der sein Buch "Avant-garde from Below" vorstellen wird. Dass es darin literarisch hoch- und menschlich grenzwertig zugehen wird, ist anzunehmen. Nach einem projektor hat er auch gefragt - wahrscheinlich also gibt es sogar den einen oder anderen nackten zu sehen.

Ingrid Schmoliner

Die Pianistin und Sängerin Ingrid Schmoliner lebt und arbeitet als freischaffende Musikerin, Komponistin, Kuratorin, und Pädagogin in Wien.
Bereits vor und während des klassischen Studiums am Landeskonservatorium Klagenfurt mit Hauptfach Klavier war ihre Musik geprägt durch das Interesse an improvisierter, experimenteller und zeitgenössischer Musik.
Durch die vielseitige Aus – und Weiterbildung in Stimmbildung, Obertongesang, Jazzgesang und Jodeln sang sie als Gastsolistin an der Grazer Oper in Zusammenarbeit mit dem südtiroler Komponisten Hannes Kerschbaumer in der zeitgenössischen Oper „BUIO“.
Im Chorwerk „MUATA ERDN“ für 8 Chorgruppen, 3 Dirigenten, Percussion, und Alt Solo unter der Leitung von Franz Jochum schrieb der steirische Komponist Denovaire das Alt Solo für Ingrid Schmoliner.
Künstlerisch bewegt sie sich in den Genres Neue Musik, experimentelle – improvisierte Musik, Avantgarde, Free Jazz, Folkfusion, Volksmusik.
Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die interdisziplinäre Arbeit mit TänzerInnen, ChoreografInnen und VideokünstlerInnen.

Maja Osojnik

*1976 born in Slovenia, lives and works in Vienna, Austria
as a singer, composer and improvising musician, mostly using paetzold bass recorders, tapes, electronic devices, toys, trash and found objects.
Maja made a name for herself in different musical fields, such as early music, contemporary, experimental, jazz, free improvisation, sound art and heavier music. She composed music for theater, dance, animation movies, film, silent film, diverse chamber ensembles and brass orchestra and wrote Lyrics/Texts for different Projects such as MO.H.N.OW, Maja Osojnik Band, Rdeča Raketa and Broken.Heart.Collector. She gave Workshops in improvised Music in Austria and Korea. She founded Maja’s Musik Markt and co-organised the 7th Viennese Soulfood Festival in 2013.
She has recorded many music productions and is giving concerts in renowned festivals and clubs all over Europe as a co-founder of different Formations, among them Broken.Heart.Collector, Rdeča Raketa, Maja Osojnik Band, frufru, Ensemble MIKADO, Low Frequency Orchestra, Subshrubs, Watschen Institut
