Die Kuratorin und Kunstwissenschaftlerin Branka Benčić (Zagreb) (Styria-Artist-in-Residence StipendiatIn 2015) zeichnet in ihrem Vortrag "Double Exposure – A Collision of Past and Present" die Interessensfelder der Künstlerin Jelena Jureša nach, welche auf den Fragen kultureller Identität, der Erinnerung, der Geschichte und den Grenzen der Repräsentation des fotografischen Bildes basieren. Entstehung und Entwicklung von „MIRA, Study for a Portrait“, bisherige Präsentationen und die Überführung in das an diesem Abend erstmals präsentierte, 2014 im Fotohof erschienene Künstlerinnenbuchformat werden ebenfalls Teil der Auseinandersetzung sein. Rainer Iglar und Michael Mauracher von der Galerie Fotohof werden ebenfalls persönlich anwesend sein. Zudem wird die zum Vortrag gleichnamige hauseigene Publikation des Künstlerhaus vorgestellt.

Branka Benčić (Zagreb), independent curator and art critic (Styria-Artist-in-Residence fellow 2015) traces in her lecture "Double Exposure – A Collision of Past and Present" the fields of interest of the artist Jelena Jureša, that are based on questions of cultural identity, memory, history, and the photograph’s boundaries of representation. Origin and development of „MIRA, Study for a Portrait“, previous presentations of the work, and its transfer into the format of an artist book (Fotohof 2014), which will be presented in public for the very first time that evening, will be also part of the discussion. For this occasion, Rainer Iglar and Michael Mauracher of Galerie Fotohof will be present.
