Johannes Schweiger (geboren 1973 in Schladming, lebt in Wien) spricht an diesem Abend im Dialog mit Christian Egger über seine aktuelle Ausstellung IMA SET IMA TEXT, INO BUTT und über Einflüsse und Facetten in seiner Praxis, aber auch über etwaige Materialvorlieben in seinen künstlerischen Überprüfungen von Texturen, Formen und Funktionsweisen modernistischer Semantiken.

Die Szenische Lesung Roma City nach einem Stück von Martin Czerwinka wird von Curt Schnecker und dem Autor im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Die andere Seite. Hölle" des Steiermärkischen Kunstverein Werkbund präsentiert. 
Graz („Perle“) erhebt sich. Bietet der Armut die Stirn und gibt Roma und Obdachlosen eine Chance. Eine Illusion? Nötigung, Erpressung und Berechnung verrücken die Grenzen des Traumes in die Wirklichkeit und – offenbaren das Mögliche. „Roma City“ ist ein Stück gegen Alltagsfaschismus, soziale Ungerechtigkeit und Lieblosigkeit.

Ein Artist Day bietet am 16.01. ab 16 Uhr die Möglichkeit, mit den in der Ausstellung „HÖLLE. Die andere Seite" präsentierten Künstler/innen des Steiermärkischen Kunstverein Werkbund über ihre Arbeiten zu sprechen.

An Art Day’s Night: Thursday evenings a program of artist talks, panel discussions, lectures, catalogue presentations, performances, concerts and general discussions on and about art accompanies the current exhibitions at free admission at Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien (KM–) …

The admission to the events and starting at 4pm to the exhibitions is free.

During this evening Johannes Schweiger (*1973 in Schladming, lives in Vienna) and Christian Egger talk about the present exhibition IMA SET IMA TEXT, INO BUTT. Influences to and aspects of his artistic practice as well as prefered materials when it comes to an analysis of textures, forms, and functionalities of modernistic semantics are discussed.

The Dramatic Reading Roma City following a play by Martin Czerwinka will be presented by Curt Schnecker and the author in the frame of the exhibition “Die andere Seite. Hölle“. Graz (“Perl”) rises. Affronts poverty and gives Roma and the homeless a chance. An illusion? Compulsion, blackmail and strategy reset the boundaries of the dream in reality and – reveal the possible. “Roma City” is a play against fascism in every day life, social injustice and coldness.

An Artist Day starting at 4pm on 16.01. offers the opportunity to talk with the artists of the Steiermärkischer Kunstverein Werkbund about their works presented in the exhibition "HÖLLE. Die andere Seite".
