In der Ausstellung TRANSFORMATOR, einem Gemeinschaftsprojekt des Liechtensteiner Künstlers Martin Walch mit dem Künstlernetzwerk alien productions und der Wiener Visualistin starsky, wird der Kunstraum Engländerbau zum begehbaren Spielfeld, auf dem der Besucher Klang- und Bildprojektionen auslöst. Eine interaktive Sensorik erkennt die Bewegungen der Besucher auf dem Spielfeld und animiert zum Spiel mit vorgegebenen Strukuren. Dieses Spiel ist ständig im Wandel und basiert auf Regelbrüchen und -verschiebungen. Der Urzustand des Reglements wird erst wiederhergestellt, wenn der Besucher den Raum verlässt. 

Zur Vernissage spricht der Vorarlberger Künstler-Philosoph Hubert Matt. Am Donnerstag, 12. Juni, 19.30 Uhr, folgt ein Vortrag des Spielforschers O. Fred Donaldson aus den USA. Und am Dienstag, 17. Juni, 18 Uhr, ein Impulsreferat von Catarina Proidl über multifunktional bespielbare Aussenräume.

The whole exhibition space is transformed into an interactive playground. Sensors detect the movements of the visitors, trigger sound and visuals and thus invite to play with the given structures. The game itself is in constant change and is based on shifting rules. The original state is reinstalled only after all the visitors have left the field...
