MSE steht für Middle-South-East (Europe). Das 4. MSE-Meeting findet in
Prishtina, Kosova statt, in einem europäischen Land, mit nach wie vor
unklarem Status. Mehr als 30 Kunst-Institutionen und Initativen aus dem
MSE-Raum kommen zu dem 3-tägigen Treffen zusammen, das als Forum für den
Austausch von Erfahrungen und Ideen und die Diskussion aktueller Themen
konzipiert ist. Beim 4. MSE-Meeting werden vor allem die Möglichkeiten und
Strategien der teilnehmenden Institutionen und Initativen in Hinblick auf
eine Einflußnahme auf die Entwicklung der Gesellschaft im Zentrum der
Diskussionen stehen.

"Reality Clashes and International Funding"
In the course of international collaborations along with the fundraising
processes, how do we evaluate attentiveness and reciprocity; how do we
perceive each others realities. Do we develop and apply strategies and
formulate agendas to surpass any possible external pressure and
inattentive approach linked to the fundraising? The panel aims to elaborate
these questions through the cases discussed by Jane Calovski, Galit Eilat,
Kristian Lukic, Peter Mörtenböck and Stefan Rusu.

Die MSE Idee wurde im Jahr 2000 von Gregor Podnar in Ljubljana
geboren, mit der Absicht, eine Basis für Diskussion und Zusammenarbeit
anzubieten, die einen verbesserten Informationsfluss und einen erweiterten
Austausch von Ausstellungspraxis und Theorie ermöglichen sollte.
Die beiden folgenden MSE-Meetings fanden 2002 und 2004 in Graz statt,
initiiert von < rotor >. Dabei wurde als Thema u.a. das Verhältnis von
lokaler Wahrnehmung und internationalem Auftritt von Kunstaktivitäten
erörtert.
