[Grml] grml on Asus eee-pc 700 -- Alsa problem

I´m running debian/lenny with XFCE on it.

sound worked out-of-the-box under lenny. 
What do you get after "modprobe snd-hda-intel"?
Perhaps you give the lenny-kernel (2.6.25-2-686) a try?
