I can send a screenshot. I checked again, this problem only occures when
X is started as root. I remember this as a problem with fluxbox 0.9.9 and 0.9.10.
Maybe an update to 0.9.12 will help.

The Monitor (a very old one) is attached to the computer via switch. This
could be a problem. On my notebook also the ddcxinfo gets
nothing useful, but here the sync is ok (60Hz).
