CALL for image descriptions  (german version below)


Is there an image which is important/relevant to you for any/different reason? How would you describe it? Is it the atmosphere or any object, subject,thing (…) at the image which makes it relevant/important to you?

I am planning an institutional artshow with a part in the public city space in Bremen, Germany. In that part there will be no images to look at, but to listen to. Therefore I am collecting descriptions, which will be read out, recorded and finding their place in that exhibition and a big audience (in Bremen at least)!
What is happening if the images will rise up in the head instead of being shown in the museum? Which influence does the focus of the description have on the image? Is there an image which is important to you but not shown/seen enough? Which image do you think has to be a part of the exhibition definitely?
I would be very happy and it would be a big pleasure if I got an image description from you!

Please send your text together with the title and the artists name (if you know them) till

This call will be sent by me (queer-feminist, art, …critical) via personal contact/network
and hopefully to many other networks!!!

I am happy about everyone who finds the time to write a description and I am looking forward to a great collection of many different images!

CALL: Bildbeschreibung für Hörbildausstellung    (english version below)

Gibt es ein Bild, das aus irgendeinem Grund wichtig für dich ist? Wie
würdest du es beschreiben? Ist es eher die Atmosphäre, oder bestimmte Elemente die das Bild für Dich ausmachen? ...
Ich plane eine Ausstellung im öffentlichen Raum (im Rahmen einer institutionellen Ausstellung) in Bremen, bei der Besucher_innen die Bilder nicht angucken sondern anhören.
Dazu sammle ich Bildbeschreibungen, die dann vorgelesen und aufgezeichnet werden und so in einer Hörbildausstellung ihren Platz und hoffentlich ein breites Publikum finden (zumindest in Bremen).

Was passiert, wenn die Bilder im Kopf entstehen anstatt im Museum zu hängen?
Was macht der Fokus der Beschreibenden Person mit dem Bild?
Gibt es ein Bild, von den Du findest, dass es aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht genug Beachtung erfährt? Welches Bild muss für Dich unbedingt in einer solchen Ausstellung dabei sein?
Ich würde mich sehr über eine Bildbeschreibung von Dir freuen!
