wir, der verein musiklandschaften, ein sehr frisches mitglied dieser 
comunity, würden uns sehr freuen, wenn ihr alle auf das erste von uns 
veranstaltete konzert heute abend in der postgarage/ kleiner raum, 
kommen würdet.

Vessels(UK) <http://vesselsband.com/>

Die Vessels(UK) sind im April/Mai auf Europatournee, um ihr kürzlich 
erschienenes Album "White Fields and Open Devices" präsentieren. Nach 
einer EP und zwei Singles ist dies nun der erste Longplayer der Band. 
Aufgenommen wurde das Album mit John Congleton (u.a. auch Zusammenarbeit 
mit Explosions in The Sky oder Erkah Badu) in den Pachyderm Studios in 
Minneapolis.
Im mittlerweile doch recht weiten Feld der Post-Rock-Welle haben sich 
die Vessels ihre eigene kleine Nische geschaffen und zeichnen sich durch 
Eigenständigkeit aus, die sie letztendlich von vielen anderen 
Mitstreitern abhebt und sich einem hohen Wiedererkennungswert 
niederschlägt. Der Sound der Band ist seit ihrer ersten EP deutlich 
gereift, binden sie doch Charakteristika verschiedenster musikalischer 
Stile in ihre Musik ein. Musikalisch sind sie wahrscheinlich am ehesten 
irgendwo zwischen Explosions In the Sky, Mono und Mogwai anzusiedeln, 
wobei sich bei den Vessels hin und wieder etwas Vertracktheit einschleicht.
Auch in britischen Musikmagazinen wurde das Album sehr positiv aufgenommen!

something that's thankfully there -- the right band, in the right place 
at the right time and doing it in the beautifully considered tingling 
right way you want it to be done. Simple really" (Organ Magazine)

instruments in new ways, or through experimentation with new technology

Hella Comet aus Graz haben sich ebenfalls dem Post-Rock verschrieben 
definieren sich selbst wie folgt:

hella = 1. short form for helana, 2. derived from "hell of a lot";
similar to "very, really, a lot,"

comet = a celestial body, observed only in that part of its orbit
that is relatively close to the sun, having a head consisting of a
solid nucleus

hella comet = frente (git), jure (git), lea (vox, bass), maex
