I am missing something obvious. I want module kqemu to be loaded at system (re)boot, so, I placed it in /etc/modules but it does not get loaded.
Any ideas how to achieve this goal?

Activate /etc/init.d/module-init-tools in /etc/runlevel.conf.
JFYI: The most imporant init scripts (like module-init-tools and networking) will be activated by default on harddisk installations in the next grml/grml2hd release. I'm currently working on improving the runlevel.conf-setup, sorry for any inconvenience.
