Hi.
With the grml64_2011.12-rc1, I entered lang=fr-iso at boot propt.
But the kbd_mode command told me that I was in utf8. I verified in /proc/cmdline that my option was correct and it was the case.
Beside this, I continue to think that a beep at the moment of the boot prompt and the possibility to have a boot option invoking brltty is the more accessible for blind people. Sorry to insist on thiis point.

locale will show that basically all locales are set to fr_FR@euro.
