Hi
I need the ATI-drivers to start x (otherwise, grml-x will hang).
but as of today, the fglrx-driver in the grml repository has a open bug -- no console after logging out of X, ver 8.25.18-1.
Is there any workarounds?
thanks

grml-small? No X.
No, I suppose that's not really what you're looking for. Do you really need ATI drivers? Have you tried SVGA or framebuffer instead? Or ramping down the refresh rate or bpp?

I need to start x, that's the bottom line.
Have you tried SVGA or framebuffer instead?
can anyone tell me how? I searched through man grml-x with SVGA or frame but didn't find any...

I don't thing I'm there yet. grml-x hangs the system before going anywhere...
