I have an 8 GB usb stick on which I would like to install grml. Does anyone have recommendations regarding the use of grml2hd vs. grml2usb?
grml2hd: if you want to use kind of static system (like a typical harddisk installation)
grml2usb: if you want to use grml in the typical live mode :)
Speaking of which.. Does 2008-11 support the directory layout for USB thumb-drives we talked about some months back?
No, sadly not yet, see http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue466 and http://bts.grml.org/grml/issue501
I was just running out of time and therefore couldn't work on the redesign of grml2usb. The reason is that it's not just grml2usb which needs to be adjusted when we change the directory layout, so we need to design that beforehand. But it's definitely something we don't forget and will work on, promised. :)
