When using the X window system:
xterm -name blind
or just press ctrl-key and right mouse on running xterm.
On plain console:
Disable framebuffer so you get 80x25 instead of 1024x768-resolution using the kernel option 'vga=normal' (add it to lilo.conf on hd installations or boot live-cd using 'nofb' or 'grml vga=normal').
