Well, I filed a report. If you want to work on it, compile a 2.6.20 without the suspend flag, just to verify that's the issue. Otherwise I'll put that on my list.
2.6.21 is probably not an answer. We can give it a test for you. The hardware worked with previous grmls and we can stay at 0.9 in the worst case.
Mark, are you aware of the fact, that we are using enabled CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND since at least 2.6.11-grml?
