Yes, I am using a USB pen drive, and I have persistent setup.
So, updating grub on usb pen drive is not supposed to work? Then how can we update it?
You can replace the squashfs file direclty with a version from a daily image.
Please note that i am no using the persisency feature myself, maybe other have better ideas.
