I was having this on for a few minutes after it stopped spinning so to make sure this might be it. but maybe there might be an error message. tested the 32 bit latest daily sid build. when i have a set of eyes around i will recheck and write back.

On my system, it takes quite a long time till the musical tone comes up, it usually is at least 2-3 minutes. It must be a network timeout. This is with betas as of beginning of January.

could someone please tell me how to start grml using software speech using speakup? should be the old way but it seems it doesn't reach the console.
