Hi
I am using emacs 22.1.1 (GTK+ version) in a fluxbox environment. There are conflicts with C-M emacs bindings and the window manager.
When I type for example C-M-f in emacs (that is Control key and Alt key pressed simultaneously and then followed by the key "f"), then the firefox webbrowser opens. Obviously the window manager sees the key sequence before emacs and intercepts it.
What is the recommended practice to maintain C-M emacs key bindings (remapping them all would be a pain) when working in fluxbox ?
The simpelest (and i guess only) solution is to remove any conflicting keybindings in ~/.fluxbox/keys . See also man fluxbox.
Greets,
