Very strange, indeed. One of our developers noticed the same behaviour but I could never reproduce it. ;-( Anyway, I'll take a look at it.
I can send a screenshot. I checked again, this problem only occures when X is started as root. I remember this as a problem with fluxbox 0.9.9 and 0.9.10. Maybe an update to 0.9.12 will help.

yes, the problem is only in fluxbox, in wmi and pekwm the fonts are readable.
mhm maybe it is a problem with the antialiased fonts fluxbox uses. regards nico
