Whenever I use the command "play" to play a sound file, I will get:
Input Filename : /path/sounds/some.wav [snip]
Is there any way to turn it off?
play blah.wav > /dev/null
I use esdplay (Debian Sarge) and it doesn't do this. I don't know if esdplay is in grml. You might also "man play" and see if it has a switch to tell it to run quietly (so to speak).
